TicketsAway operates as a travel agency and booking intermediary. We facilitate bookings through global distribution systems such as Sabre and through direct contracts with selected travel suppliers, including airlines and hotels. All refunds are subject to the rules and policies of the travel suppliers, including airlines, hotels, vacation providers, and others. TicketsAway does not control refund eligibility, amount, or processing timelines set by those providers.
When Refunds Are Applicable
Refunds may be requested in situations such as airline or hotel cancellations, major schedule changes, refundable fare conditions, or duplicate charges. Refunds will not be issued in cases of non-refundable fares, no-shows, denied boarding due to missing travel documents, or voluntary cancellations outside permitted fare rules.
Service Fees
TicketsAway charges a minimum non-refundable service fee of $30 or more per transaction, including refund processing, cancellation, or change requests. This service fee is charged in addition to any fees applied by the supplier and is not refundable under any circumstances, regardless of whether the airline or hotel grants a refund.
How to Request a Refund
To initiate a refund, customers must contact TicketsAway via phone, email, or other official communication channels. We will verify the booking, review the supplier rules, and if eligible, submit the refund request to the provider. If and when the provider approves and issues the refund, TicketsAway will refund the applicable amount to the original payment method after deducting our service fees.
Refund Timelines
Refunds may take between 4 to 10 weeks or longer depending on the supplier’s processing time. TicketsAway is not responsible for delays from airlines, hotels, or banking institutions. Customers will be notified once a refund has been processed.
Refund Amounts
The refund amount you receive is based on the amount refunded by the supplier minus the non-refundable TicketsAway service fee. If the provider declines the refund, no refund will be issued, and the service fee remains non-refundable.
Chargebacks and Disputes
In the event of a payment dispute or chargeback, you agree to contact TicketsAway before initiating a dispute with your bank or card provider. If a chargeback is initiated, we reserve the right to submit evidence and recover all costs related to the chargeback process. Unjustified chargebacks may result in future service denial or legal action.
Special Circumstances
Special cases such as medical emergencies, bereavement, natural disasters, or travel restrictions will be handled individually. Supporting documentation may be required and all such refunds remain subject to supplier policies and approval.
Non-Refundable Items
Items that are strictly non-refundable include TicketsAway service fees, insurance premiums, no-show penalties, and third-party administrative charges.
