Delta Airlines is a major airline of the United States headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. It was
founded in 1925 and began its passenger service from Dallas, Texas to Jackson, Mississippi in
1929. It started its international flight to the Caribbean and the Caracas in 1953 after the
acquisition of Chicago and Southern Air Lines. It was the first airline to carry more than 100
million passengers in a calendar year in 1997. Today, Delta Airlines along with its subsidiary

among the world's largest airlines and 69th on the Fortune 500.
Delta Airlines is the founding member of the SkyTeam Alliance and has codeshares and joint

Delta's fleet consists of 910 Airbus, 530 Boeing and 74 McDonnell Douglas. It operates the
largest fleets of the Boeings and the McDonnell Douglas in the world. Delta Airlines is one of
the two airlines operating the Boeing 767-400ER worldwide and the only airline in the world
still operating the MD-90.
Delta Airlines offers six different cabin service options where exact details and availability of
seats will vary by route and aircraft type.
1. Delta One is the airline's business class product available on long haul international flights.
Seats are customized with a personal entertainment system, power-ports and passengers received
complimentary chef-curated meals, refreshments, alcoholic beverages, premium bedding, and
access to pre-flight Sky Club.
2. Premium Select cabin features
extra legroom, adjustable leg rests, extra seat pitch, width, and recline; and new premium service.
3. First Class is offered on mainline domestic flights and Delta Connection aircraft with more than 50 seats. Passengers
receive more variety of free snacks, free drinks and alcohol, and full meal service on flights 900
miles (1,400 km) and longer.
4. Delta Comfort+ provides its member the privilege of priority Boarding, overhead space,
complimentary beer, wine, and spirits on flights 250 miles (400 km) or more, and complimentary
premium snacks on flights with 900 miles (1,400 km) or more. Medallion members will be able to upgrade from Main Cabin to Comfort+ for free while other customers can upgrade for a fee or with Skymiles.
5. Main cabin passengers gets complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic drinks on all flights of
250 miles or longer. Alcoholic beverages are also available for purchase and complimentary meals are provided on long haul international flights.
6. Basic Economy is almost the same as Main Cabin, offering the same services with fewer flexibility options for a lower price.
Delta Airlines provides Wi-Fi to most of its domestic flights and international networks and has installed high-speed 2Ku on 60 percent of mainline aircraft. Wi-Fi for purchase and free mobile
messaging is available. Barring the MD-88, Boeing 717, MD-90, and Delta Connection aircraft,
audio and video are available on all aircraft. Delta Sky Magazine and its online edition is
available in every seat on all routes.
* SkyMiles is the frequent flyer program for Delta Air Lines offering points (or "miles") to
passengers traveling on fare types, which accumulate to free awards such as airline tickets,
business and first-class upgrades, and luxury products.
* Delta Sky Club is the branding name of Delta's airport lounges providing free drink (including
alcoholic beverages), snacks,Wi-Fi and reading materials to its Members and International
* SkyBonus is a program aimed toward small-to-medium businesses spending between $5,000
and $500,000 annually on air travel where points are earned for free travel and up-gradation to
Sky Club memberships and SkyMiles Silver Medallion status.

surface pretreatment of the aircraft to improve paint adhesion and prevent corrosion. Prekote
